A new milestone in the joint journey of Vittoria and A Dugast has been reached. The two high-end bicycle tyre brands will share a new, modern home in the Netherlands to further nurture their synergies. A bright future is at the horizon and we cannot wait for it to come.
On 15th June 2022, Vittoria Group inaugurates the new Headquarters of Vittoria North Europe and A Dugast in the Netherlands. The investment has brought to life a 1.200 m2 building that will serve as Vittoria’s commercial base for the North European markets and a completely revamped factory for A Dugast. The premises are located in Oldenzaal, strategically situated in the centre of the heartland of cycling in Europe, between Benelux and Germany.
Vittoria’s customers will benefit from a local commercial base in the most important markets for cycling and connections with the Northern European markets will be eased by the presence in the territory. The A Dugast production facilities in the modern building will significantly benefit from this investment: the output capability will more than double thanks to new machines and additional people, the A Dugast “handmade in the Netherlands” nature can thus be developed further.
Following Vittoria Groups commitment in reducing the ecological footprint of all their operations around the world, the new building is fully Carbon-Neutral ready with newly installed solar panels, and upgraded heating and isolation equipment.
The Oldenzaal area has an extensive network of road and off-road cycle paths, which makes the new location easily reachable by bicycle by employees and guests. Those same cycling routes will be used for outdoor tyre testing in real-use conditions.
The new regional headquarters of Vittoria Group in the Netherlands will take the collaboration of Vittoria and A Dugast to a new, unprecedented level. After A Dugast joined Vittoria Group in 2021 and after working successfully on projects such as the Vittoria tubular for L’Eroica by A Dugast, this further step was the natural progression of the relationship. By exchanging know-how, experiences, and working together on new projects, both Vittoria and A Dugast will continue to grow and introduce ever better performing tyres to cyclists, some of which will see the market already in 2022.
Richard Nieuwhuis, Managing Director of A Dugast says: “We are very pleased that together with Vittoria Group we could invest in a state-of-the-art facility, to combine forces and continue to develop the best hand-made racing tyres for cycling athletes and enthusiasts around the world”.
